چکیده
Abstract Residues are generated after the processing of citrus fruits and can be used for essential oil extraction. Thus, objective this work was to evaluate composition, yield, quality proven 30 orange varieties, as an alternative better use its residues. The peels were crushed subjected hydrodistillation in a Clevenger-type. samples submitted Entirely Randomized Design (DIC) results analyzed Analysis Variance, Principal Component Analysis, Hierarchical Cluster Analysis. greatest gains yielded by varieties Valencia IAC (5.57%), Pera DP 06 (4.75%), Hamlin 20 (4.58%), 25 (4.28%). has potential extract up 7.24 kg per ton orange. Limonene represents 93.18 99.61% components, being major compound among all varieties. Some did not describe secondary compounds or more than one. These components highly antioxidant great importance production cosmetics, personal care products, homeopathy, help gastrointestinal diseases, other uses. It is possible conclude that have different oils, even when same drying extraction process, intrinsic characteristics each variety.

'Mato Peiyu' pomelo (Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck 'Mato Peiyu') leaves from pruning are currently an agricultural waste. The aim of this study was to isolate essential oils from these leaves through steam distillation (SD) and solvent-free microwave extraction (SFME) and to evaluate their applicability to skin care by analyzing their antimicrobial, antioxidant (diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavengin...
متن کاملCollection and Chemical Composition of Phloem Sap from Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck (Sweet Orange)
Through utilizing the nutrient-rich phloem sap, sap feeding insects such as psyllids, leafhoppers, and aphids can transmit many phloem-restricted pathogens. On the other hand, multiplication of phloem-limited, uncultivated bacteria such as Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) inside the phloem of citrus indicates that the sap contains all the essential nutrients needed for the pathogen grow...
متن کاملA proteomic analysis of the chromoplasts isolated from sweet orange fruits [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck]
Here, a comprehensive proteomic analysis of the chromoplasts purified from sweet orange using Nycodenz density gradient centrifugation is reported. A GeLC-MS/MS shotgun approach was used to identify the proteins of pooled chromoplast samples. A total of 493 proteins were identified from purified chromoplasts, of which 418 are putative plastid proteins based on in silico sequence homology and fu...
